Ambassadors

Recruit members to serve as official representatives at AVHCC Events.

By-Laws

Gain a thorough understanding of AVHCC Bylaws: keep abreast of business requirements, federal and state regulation changes, and any changes in AVHCC scope or mission; recommend Bylaw changes; update records and corporate notes as needed.

Economic Development

Function as a liaison and catalyst through which business entities, professional, and community stakeholders work together for the common good of the community via AVHCC sponsorship or membership
Education

Help with mentoring and obtaining college scholarship for High School Students. Also furthering education for business and entrepreneur

Installation

Plan, coordinate and manage annual Awards and Dinner.

Legislative

Attend governmental and community meetings and keep abreast of changes and topics that effect the region and community.

Luncheons

Plan and host luncheons with topics that are business oriented

Membership

Work to recruit new and retain existing members and sponsors; plan and manage membership events; order plaques or certificates for new members.

Military Affairs

​Monitor and stay abreast of military events, issues and policy changes as they relate to our community; maintain business relations with our Armed Services.
Mixers
​

Recruit New or current member to host mixers by communicating the promotional and networking benefits; accountable for food, beverages, site coordination, monetary receipts, and other details.

Newsletter
​

Promote Chamber events, members and mission by encouraging newsletter sponsorship and/or placement of business ads.

​

Prepare and distribute election petitions, ballots and other information for purposes of selecting new Directors and Officers; submit names to Board of Directors.

Public Relations
​

Build rapport with AVHCC’s community to increase public perception and standing by building new and forstering existing relationships with community stakeholders; interacting with local media; and attending or speaking at community events.

Social Media

Develop and administer a cohesive AVHCC presence via online profiles on the major social media websites, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Plaxo, and others deemed beneficial and appropriate, for purposes of visibility, PR, and member acquisition; post updates to websites on a regular basis to reflect current AVHCC information and events.

Special Events

Parades, TNS & Other Community Events, Facilitate AVHCC’s participation in Parades, Fairs, Festivals, and other special events in the Antelope Valley; coordinate AVHCC’s ongoing participation in Thursday Night on the Square; recruit and coordinate members to assist as needed.

Ways & Means

​Participate in meetings and joint-ventures with the Palmdale Chamber and AV Chamber (and other business associations when designated) on planning Super Mixers and Business Expos; plan and manage Salsa & Casino Night; recruit Director and member support as needed.
